life is a beach

in tidepools, south of the estuary,

silt deposits give to what juts-

&-cups in rough cradles

of anemone-flowers & mussel-beds.

shoaled - wetfoot & undersun,

(w/ crustacea & conch to the kelp,

we are humble in the wash~

treading careful.

& in wading for what may not be already found,

 life abounds.
